The "General" inspecting the platoon in the Dirty Dozen

In fact the whole film was brilliant from start to finish with an excellent cast that included Lee Marvin, the NFL's best ever running back, Jim Brown, the very excellent and underrated John Cassavetes and Telly Savalas

Two for me.
Its probably a bit cliched now but the D-Day scene in Saving Private Ryan was breathtaking at the time.
And the Zulu's coming over the hill and doing all that shield banging.
